Staying Close to Jesus

1.) Read the Bible

We read the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible. It is easy for us to read and understand.

We read our Bible every morning before the start of our day. This is one of the ways we are encouraged to stay close and continue our walk with Him. We suggest starting with the book of John in the New Testament, then continue reading the remaining Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

After we have read a chapter or two in the Gospels each morning, we also enjoy reading one or two chapters in Psalms or Proverbs in the Old Testament.
Upon the completion of the Gospels, we continued reading the remaining books contained in the New Testament. Once we completed the New Testament, we began to re-read the New Testament and added a chapter or two from the Old Testament starting with Genesis to our daily reading.

2.) Praying

The Lord loves hearing from us. Praying is not only about our wants and needs. It is about having a personal relationship between you and Him. He loves to be praised. He knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him! He sees every tear whether it be in joy or sorrow.

We enjoy praying together after our daily Bible reading. We also make private time alone to pray and to strengthen our personal relationship with Him.

3.) Attend a Bible believing church

Fellowship with other believers is important. It allows us to encourage one another and strengthen our knowledge about the truth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
We strongly suggest you research the church you plan on attending. Your search should begin with the belief of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
All teachings by the church you choose should be confirmed by referencing the Holy Bible.
