In Revelation 13:16-18, we are told that the beast implements a system that no one can buy or sell anything unless they take his mark. This mark is commonly known as the “mark of the beast”. No one knows presently what this mark will look like except the beast and his associates. However, God’s Word is very clear to where this mark will be given, either on the right hand or on the forehead. Below are some images what this may or could look like but not limited to.

It is possible that the “mark of the beast” could be a chip which is
inserted under the skin of the right hand or forehead.

It is possible that the “mark of the beast” could be a barcode or tattoo placed on the right hand or forehead.
The ink would most likely be invisible to the human eye.

Possible types of electronic equipment that could be used to complete a transaction.

Revelation 14:9-11 (NLT)
“Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.”

God’s Protection

At this point, you are probably asking yourself, how will I survive during this period of 3 ½ years called the Great Tribulation? How will I provide for my family if I can’t buy or sell anything because I refused to take the mark? The answer: God will protect you. God shows throughout the scriptures again and again that he protects his chosen ones. Yes, there are those who are destined for prison and death. All who endure and remain faithful will receive an inheritance beyond one’s imagination.

Matthew 24:31 (NLT)
“And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world-from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.”

Revelation 13:9-10 (NLT)
Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.
Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison.
Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword.
This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

All prophecy from God’s Word that has already been fulfilled, came with pinpoint accuracy.
You can be confident that all remaining prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled, will come with the same pinpoint accuracy.

Please understand, that to have your name recorded in the Book of Life, a person must accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You cannot be lukewarm and serve two masters.
